Ceramic luminous stones for road paving decoration building materials

Time : 2025-02-25
The production of ceramic luminous stones is a complex and precise process. Manufacturers typically start by adding special luminous powders, often containing rare - earth elements such as strontium aluminate, to the ceramic raw materials. These rare - earth elements play a crucial role in the stone's luminescent properties. For example, strontium aluminate - based luminous powders can emit light for a relatively long time after being exposed to light.
The mixture is then fired at high temperatures, usually around 1200 degrees Celsius. This high - temperature firing process not only gives the stones their hard and durable ceramic structure but also activates the luminous properties of the added powders. During firing, the chemical bonds in the materials are rearranged, and the luminous particles are integrated into the ceramic matrix.
In terms of composition, aside from the luminous powder, ceramic luminous stones mainly consist of silica (SiO₂), alumina (Al₂O₃), and other inorganic substances that are common in ceramic materials. These substances provide the basic structure and stability of the stones. The chemical properties of the ceramic matrix ensure that the stones are resistant to weathering, corrosion, and wear, making them suitable for a wide range of outdoor and indoor applications.
